RACHEL POTTER AND MARTY THOMAS RELEASE NEW SINGLE, “LOVER, YOU MATTER TO ME”
(New York, NY – April 7th, 2020) – Broadway veterans and best friends Rachel Potter and Marty Thomas released the new single, “Lover, You Matter To Me” on April 4th. The single is a lush duet mashing together “Lover” by Taylor Swift and “You Matter To Me” by Sara Bareilles from the musical ‘Waitress’. Recorded in New York, right before having to quarantine for the COVID-19 pandemic, the two singers wanted to release the new single as soon as possible because they felt it was important to continue being creative and provide positive content for Broadway fans around the country to consume while in isolation. “Lover, You Matter To Me” can be found and purchased on all streaming platforms. A music video by Snack Entertainment will be released next week.
Rachel Potter appeared on Broadway in Evita and The Addams Family and in the national tour of Wicked. She was featured on the final season of the “X factor” and “Legally Blonde: The Musical – The Search for Elle Woods on MTV.” Rachel has two full-length albums available and many single releases and collaborations with groups like Voctave and Voice Play. www.rachelpottermusic.com
Marty Thomas released his sophomore album ‘Slow Dancing With a Boy’ to Broadway Records in December. As a child, he famously won Ed McMahon’s Junior Star Search over then-unknown Britney Spears. As an adult, Marty Thomas created a name for himself on Broadway in Xanadu, Wicked and The Secret Garden, on television’s Grace & Frankie, and has been a staple of the New York City nightlife for well over a decade. www.martythomas.com
