OUT APRIL 19, 2019

Band To Play Special Record Store Day

Event At Fingerprints Music On April 13th

April 10, 2019 – LA’s Milo Greene have stripped back select songs from their latest album, Adult Contemporary, to bring listeners an intimate, disarming 6-song acoustic EP that highlights the bands’ beautiful instrumentation and gorgeous harmonies. Adult Contemporary: Unplugged is out next Friday, April 19th, and the band will celebrate with a special Record Store Day performance this Saturday, April 13th at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach, where the physical version of Adult Contemporary: Unplugged will be sold exclusively. More information is here.

Of Adult Contemporary: Unplugged, the band says, “When we make Milo Greene albums, there are no restrictions on production. We experiment with synths and drum machines, loops and vocal effects, and as many electric guitar tones as we possibly can. That experimentation is a big part of our creative process with one another.

That being said, stripping instrumentation down to its bones and singing together in a room is also at the core of what Milo Greene is and has always been. With that in mind, we decided to have our friend Sean O’Brien record us playing live and unplugged. We got together at his studio and played through several songs from Adult Contemporary, using only our voices, acoustic guitars, a minimal drum kit, and a smattering of piano.

Since we all grew up in the 90’s and MTV: Unplugged looms large in our collective conscious, it felt only right to call the EP Adult Contemporary: Unplugged.”

Toeing a line between emotional intensity and light-hearted humor, Milo Greene embraced the genre of adult contemporary as their muse for this album. Recorded in Nashville with Grammy-nominated producer Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses, Lissie), Adult Contemporary captures the best of their previous work: It’s exquisitely melodic, like debut album Milo Greene (2012), with the buoyant spirit of Control (2015), yet also manages to be completely unlike anything they’ve done.

Press for Adult Contemporary:

“infectious” – KCRW

“Sexy, seductive, hypnotizing and uncontrollably repeatable.” — Indie Shuffle

“The music diffuses something both sinister and sensual, vacillating between ‘80s pastiche and a certain level of humor that comes with parodying such a moody decade.” — Culture Collide

“With the heartbeat of a ’70s bass line, ‘Move’ is typically lush and melodic… It’s for doing after-hours pirouettes on a deserted dance floor.” — Buzzbands.la

“ a smooth groove, sultry, but also with a confident swagger…” — Magnetic

“There are roughly equal parts folksy fair and dancefloor-friendly bangers, but ultimately just a set of solid songs.” — Entertainment Voice

“Adult Contemporary is reminiscent of the old band you once knew but now, they’re more confident, more mature, and undoubtedly more self-assured.” — Spill Magazine

Milo Greene is comprised of Marlana Sheetz, Graham Fink and Robbie Arnett who all share vocal and songwriting duties. They released their debut self-titled album in 2012, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseeker Chart and featured breakthrough single “1957.” Their sophomore album, Control, was released in January 2015. Milo Greene signed with Nettwerk Music Group in 2017 and released the Never Ender EP, followed by the full-length Adult Contemporary in 2018.
