Barnsdall Art Park Foundation presents Barnsdall Fridays 2018
June 15 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Marking its 10th season and attracting sellout crowds, the renowned Barnsdall Friday Night Wine Tastings have become the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation’s signature fundraising event. With stunning views overlooking the City, Barnsdall Art Park welcomes Angelenos—21 years and older — to sip wine, picnic and watch the sunset for another not-to-be-missed season of wine tasting at this iconic cultural destination.
Ongoing partner Silverlake Wine will curate their fine selection of boutique artisanal wines and there will be rotating food trucks on offer each week. Music will be presented by KCRW’s DJs and this year’s series will also feature several globally-themed evenings, matching food and wine.
Friday Night Wine Tastings run from May 25 through August 31, 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
Parking is extremely limited at Barnsdall and free spaces on the Hill fill up by 6pm. We encourage you take Lyft or Uber. There is also off-site parking available at Kaiser Permanente, 1549 Edgemont, a 5 minute walk and it’s $1 with event validation. You can also get here via Metro or Bus to the Vermont/Sunset red line station. We of course encourage walking, biking, and carpooling!
Lawn furniture is not permitted.
The event is 21 & Over with valid photo ID. (this includes babies).
Only service dogs are permitted inside of the gated West Lawn where the wine tastings take place, you must present your service dog ID for access. Dogs and animals are permitted on leash in the general park areas right outside the West Lawn, however wine is not. We strongly suggest you do not bring your dog if you will be attending.
“…Take a Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece, one of Los Angeles’s best public spaces and cultural institutions, and bring a rotating series of boutique/small-production artisanal wines for tasting. You’ve got to be kidding. Why hasn’t anyone done this sooner? Patron of the arts and unconventional spirit Aline Barnsdall would be proud to see her homestead used for this purpose when Silverlake Wine starts tastings on the west lawn at Olive Hill / Barnsdall Art Park.” – LA Weekly
