Aston Fenly Unveils New Star-Studded Music Video: “Pop & Reload” feat. Paris Shadows
(May 29, 2020 — Los Angeles, CA) Today, Aston Fenly delivers his sophomore single, “Pop & Reload” feat. Paris Shadows along with a striking music video which juxtaposes breathtaking vistas with jarring time lapses of decay. Perched on a California mountain, LA-based Fenly connects with Redding, CA native Paris Shadows to deliver an alternative hip-hop heartbreak anthem.
The landmark collaboration is sonically intuitive–both Fenly and Shadows freely blend emo, pop punk, and hip-hop–but it took a chance meeting in Denmark, Fenly’s home country, for “Pop & Reload” to come to fruition. In a small Danish pub, the two artists reached a handshake deal to create a single and music video together.
Paris Shadows, now a star in his own right, got his big break from a similar collaboration when Gunna added a verse to his viral single “Po’ed Up.” “Po’ed Up” ultimately captured the attention of Post Malone, who offered Shadows a slot as direct support on a massive tour. Aston Fenly now joins elite company as a collaborator with Shadows, who has released tracks with Trippie Redd and Travis Barker and received a co-sign from No Jumper.

About Aston Fenly:
Emerging from Scandinavia with a melodic blend of emotion-baring lyrics and trap/rock instrumentation, singer, rapper, and songwriter Aston Fenly stepped onto the global stage with his debut single, “Sunrise.” Citing early influences such as My Chemical Romance, Blink-182, and Mew, Aston cut his teeth as a songwriter on alternative rock songs. Aston began incorporating hip hop elements into his music, driven by a boundless desire to create and a refusal to be confined to one genre. With impeccable lyrical phrasing that resonates like the best of Post Malone, Aston ultimately grew into a highly innovative artist who is poised to take up the mantle of emo rap pioneers such as Lil Peep and Juice WRLD.
Born and raised in a musical family in Copenhagen, Denmark, Aston knew he was destined for a life of music after taking the stage for the first time as an early teen. The following years found Aston honing his natural talent for crafting melodies, eventually signing to Universal Music Group Denmark. In 2019, he relocated to Los Angeles, remaining on Universal Music’s Denmark imprint for his debut project. “Pop & Reload” follows February’s debut “Sunrise,” teasing the release of a five-track EP set to drop in late 2020.
